When to Treat It as Urgent
- A refrigerator or freezer steadily losing temperature with food at risk
- Active water leaking from a dishwasher, refrigerator, or ice line
- A gas smell near a range or cooktop (turn it off and ventilate first)
- A wine collection at risk from a unit drifting well off temperature
- A burner or oven fault that leaves the appliance unsafe to use
If you smell gas: do not operate the appliance or any ignition source. Turn off the burner, ventilate the room, and book service so we can inspect the gas path safely. If the smell is strong, leave and call your gas utility first.
What to Do While You Wait
- Move perishables to a working refrigerator and keep doors closed
- Shut off the appliance water supply if a leak is active
- Do not chip at ice or force a frozen ice maker
- Note any fault code and the model number to share when booking
